Patience is a virtue, Impatience is a virtue
Random musings by Roger Arrick (c)2004
You've been told that having patience is a virtue, but you should also know that impatience is a virtue.
In fact, inpatience is one of the forces that drives advancement in medicine, business, and sometimes can even
improve certain social situations.
The trick is to recognize when a situation would benefit from
either impatience or patience, and manually apply the correct force.
Don't allow human nature to simply select one or the other at will or at random.
When teaching, usually you need to apply patience, even if
there is a strong force of impatience working against you.
When trying to perform a task being held up by an unproductive workmate,
impatience may come in handy.
Another helpful example of impatience would be to finish school work
so you could meet a friend at a movie.
