This is an aerial robot or UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). It has two modes of operation; autonomous, and manual. Autonomous navigation is accomplished via a GPS and pressure transducer supplying information to the main control board. As you can see from the pictures, the control board is very simple. The picture shows a very early revision. The "brain consists of two BS2SX's networked together. This project cost about $1000 total, but I received a $400 grant from the Colorado Space Grant Consortium. I have competed in both regional and state science fairs in Colorado. At the State level, I received Second place in engineering and $100 in awards. This is a continuing project, so I may post updates here. Look for a website coming soon... Email: UAVScience@msn.com
